In February 2007 Millennium Marine Contractors Ltd were contracted by May Gurney Ltd to complete the phase two repairs on the town quay wall.  The 100 meters of quay wall had been badly eroded by high tidal movement along the River Fowey.  With a logistical problem of working within a tidal window steel reinforcement was anchored to the existing face. All marine growth was remove by high pressure jetting prior to the application of sprayed concrete. A thickness of 200mm was specified.   A tight budget and an even tighter time scale were both achieved to give a finished result that looks good. The works were completed in just four days.
